1. Life Coaching
Some of the reasons you may be considering coaching or counselling could be:
Coaching is a way of exploring things that may be troubling you and sharing it with someone that you can trust. When experiencing difficulties or distress it is often useful to talk to someone outside of your friends or family. It can be tough keeping a problem bottled up and clients often say they feel a sense of relief discussing how they feel when talking to a neutral confidant.
Individual coaching or mentoring is usually between one and six sessions and often make a huge difference to the way you feel. The unique weekly or bi weekly micro check- in using WhatsApp or texting encourages clients to stay focused on the journey, through the good days and bad days.
I believe that deep down, we all know what’s best for us and have the resources within ourselves to help us develop our potential. I will often ask what has worked well for you and build on this to help you to solve your problems, gain new perspectives and increase hope, resilience and self-confidence.
My approach is intuitive and interactive which means that as well as listening to what is troubling you, I will ask you questions and make observations to help you work out your own solutions and make your own best choices. I may also help you to see the other options available to you as well as challenge you when needed.
I offer daytime and evening appointments. I am happy to work weekly or fortnightly and often less frequently once the initial sessions have been completed.
2. Mid life Transition Coaching
I specialise in mid-life transition coaching. Midlife occurs anywhere between 45 and 65 years of age and is a time when we often go through a period of significant change. For some of us, this may be a relatively smooth transition, but for many of us, it can be a time of emotional, physical and even biological upheaval. It often include some of the following challenges:
During this transition, you may experience a growing realisation that you need to shape your life differently but wonder what to do next. It may feel as if you have reached a crossroads and are not sure which path to take. This can be an exciting time but it is not uncommon for feelings of loss or anxiety to be heightened as we grapple with what the second phase of our lives might look like.
Although midlife is not without its difficulties, it can be a time of growth, satisfaction and creativity where we can discover greater sense of personal power and a deeper pleasure in life. The purpose of mid-life transition coaching is to help you manage this transition and support you to:
Mid-life transition can be a period of exciting personal growth. We often have more choices than we think as long as we are prepared to make some changes and take a few measurable risks. My aim is to work alongside you and help you manage this transition as effectively and in as fulfilling a way as possible.
3. End of Life Transition Coaching
This is period can differ significantly from person to person and life circumstances. It could very similar the Mid life transition period although transitions such as retirement, relocation or bereavement, terminal illness prognosis or end of life planning can add complexity and new challenges.
I do not propose to have all the answers or solutions to these challenges, however I will help guide the journey to identify possibilities and actions needed to bring about more sustainable outcomes.
